Why would any ordinary working class or otherwise risk their lives to defend this current way of life? Which is essentially expanding current tensions, and widening the current wars, spreading them further around the globe. What we have is politicians warmongering and creating further global instability. The con is over – nobody is willing to die for bankers, political class and royalty.If the country was under genuine and immediate threat than most people would be up for it. However most people are now smart enough to know that most wars fought since WW2 are in support of big business and oppression, not the security of our country, or by virtue of humanity Investor wants to see stocks in weapons gaining profit,manufacturers keep increasing. While the transfer of the weapons has been shrouded in secrecy or layers of opaque bureaucracy to prevent public scrutiny You have to believe in your countries patriotic mission and government representing the will of the people and it doesn’t do any of this. It promoted NATO expansion, pushes Ukrainians into war with Russia leading to the death of 300 -500,000 dead Ukrainians, indifference to the killing of Palestinian civilians, a failure to control knives crisis. Over the last decade we’ve had the rise of food banks, the rise of warm banks, party gate, the division of the country through Brexit, Brexit betrayal, the use of Cambridge Analytica. The Post office scandal. Housing shortage crisis, NHS crisis, schooling crisis, prison, policing and military crisis. Until the politicians start serving the people’s will not their own ideology , I won’t consider serving the politicians international power struggleZero talk of diplomacy in Ukraine or Gaza and the military industrial complex is currently profiting from an expand the military agenda. Some of these politicians regard invading as somehow defending the indefensible. Remember unelected sunak sent for strikes against Yemen, bypassing parliamentary votes and democratic process. In defence of shipping and consumerism, not lives. Also noteworthy is while the negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow were underway in Istanbul, Johnson unexpectedly arrived in Kyiv on April 9th, 2022, telling Zelensky that he shouldn’t sign anything with them at all—and let’s just fight.I think that a good summary of where foreign policyIsThose who want war can go fight for it. Propaganda journalists, lobbyists, fianciars, corporatists, ideologues – go and take your own kids with you. This is your fight. Not ours. It doesn’t show a lack of pride, or courage. It proves that today’s British citizens are intelligent enough to realise that they don’t have to die just because the Tories think they should. Im not proud of my country. I would defend england if it was being attacked. However, most would not to be sent to Ukraine or Israel. Or anywhere else. Being involved in foreign wars, expanding the current tensions seems to be on the agenda of our government. Expansion of conflict, escalation and complicity in the crimes against humanity and acting in ways that make a total mockery of International law and treaties that came out of ww2. Never again. Never again. Is the opposite of what those power have on their agenda. Our grandparents and great grandparents fought so we wouldn’t have to. There is no morality or just cause for any of the escalations and expanding current wars. I oppose this current instability, narratives in preference to truth and transparency. Or the possible path toward a WW3. De escalation, peace talks and pushing towards continuing peace time is what our generation are in support with. Our country is a mess, national pride and morale is at an all time low. Force, protest crackdowns etc it will not help improve the situation. The need is to focus on rebuilding communities, fixing or building schools, hospitals and national infrastructure. For most young people this would teach usable trade skills, create jobs, strengthen the “economy” and a true sense of pride and stability. Forget king and country, kin and community is the foundation for better prospects and well-being. There is credibility onuplifting moral, bringing people together and working towards sustainable peacetime.
